1865, 2015. 150 years of Vienna’s Ringstrasse. Thirteen observations

The Ringstrasse is a world famous boulevard - and also a great monument era, are linked to the various nostalgic dreams. To celebrate this landmark's 150th birthday, the Vienna Tourist Board invited 13 internationally renowned authors to celebrate this anniversary with literary contributions. This book is the result. Each of the 13 authors [ Sibylle Berg (Switzerland), György Dalos (Hungary), Timothy Bonyhady (Australia), J. Sydney Jones (USA), Mitsuyo Kakuta (Japan), Radek Knapp (Poland), Nicola Lecca (Italy), Eva Manasseh (Germany), Vivien Shotwell (Canada), Vladimir Sorokin (Russia), Michael Stavarič (Czech Republic), Marlene Streeruwitz (Austria) and Vladimir Vertlib (Russia) ] creates a world by historical reminiscences and anecdotes, short stories and essays. The image of a "Landmark," an image that was previously dominated by mansions and town houses and is now marked by Life Ball, Ring Tower and Ice Dream.
